Clear Blue water, Clear blue skies, puffy white clouds, golden yellow sand

I know I haven't been blogging for a while now. I've been so busy lately and pretty soon I will have to do college applications soon. I have decided to post pictures on this blog as well. I know it says travel and food diaries but I want to change it a little. I love taking pictures and I think I would be able to blog more stuff. I am taking a photography class this year and naturally we have photography projects. Most of the time you just choose one to print out and turn in but of course you have to take plenty.
One main reason I am going to post pictures is because I love to share my work with people. But another underlying reason is because I need a place to safely keep my photographs. It all started like this. I normally transfer my pictures to a CD disc as an external copy that way it won't take up space on my computer and camera. But just on Thursday I decided to add some more pictures into the CD. To my surprise I found that the files (photographs) that I put on previously disappeared. It GONE! All my older pictures are gone. And I have deleted them both from my camera and from my computer. I was sad because some of those pictures were ones that I really liked but now their gone....
No use crying over spilled milk. I can't get it back no more so instead of dwelling on the past I will go forward. My new plan just to be safe is to put the pictures on my blog and also on photobucket. I will still put it on CD disc because this is the first time it happened. I mean all my other pictures (which is plenty) on the many other CD's are still there. I will give the CD one more chance. Haha.
I think I just rambled on and on but basically I will also be posting photographs as well.

Today is the day we fly home! Bye Bye Canada!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A story to tell....
So we fly home today and went to the airport at 1 in the afternoon. Our flight home isn't direct flight. We will be stopping in Portland and transfer... so here are the things that go wrong. Starting from Canada to Portland.
Sitting in the plane in Canada. We don't take off because not everyone is on board. Then this lady comes on. Okay now we are taxing out of the airport, ready to take off when... the lady yells out "I want to get off". Plane stops and the lady gets off. I think she felt sick or whatever. I know people were pretty ticked off. She was the last one off and we were delayed for 1/2 hour because she wanted to get off.
Now landing in Portland... our next flight to Honolulu already started boarding and we were still getting off the plane from Vancouver (which was and hour flight by the way). We get off the plane and run into the terminal finding the gate for our next flight.
Scary part, we are taxing out of the terminal again when all of a sudden the plane goes back. HUH?
Apparently when the plane started up there was this really strong diesel smell (even I smelt it) and some people up front saw ashes flying into the cabin. Ooo. Then we all had to get off the plane so they could find our the problem. The flight was delayed for two hours. We were supposed to take off at 4: 45 but we ended up boarding around 6. What happened? I think they said the fan was broken or something, I was too tired and groggy. Ended up arriving in Honolulu at 12:30 a.m. We were supposed to be home by 8: 45 or something...
How scary. At least I am home safely now.

Today we went to Vancouver Island (Victoria) on a one day tour. We rode on a big ferry for 90 minutes to get there. It's really cool. The tour bus drove onto the ferry and we got out from there. Decks 1,2,and 3 are for the cars and stuff. Then decks 5, and 6 are for passengers. The highlight for today was Butchart gardens. we also went to the wax museum, the British Columbia Parliament Buildings, and the Empress hotel. Tomorrow we will be heading home.
